Tonight’s the night (Sept. 17) that Carrie Underwood is being inducted into one of the most important halls of fame ever — at least for those born and raised in Oklahoma. This year’s inductees in the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame will be honored during a ceremony and concert in Muskogee, and I’m sure there will be a lot of fuss over the Checotah native, especially because she may play some new tunes off her forthcoming album. (An album she tells NewsOK.com she loves, adding, “I know I’d buy it.”)

The video interview portion also has Underwood giving this sage advice: “Life is what you make of it. … And we’re all dealt a different set of cards.” So, so true. And I’m sure every Okie in Muskogee — and throughout the state — is thrilled with the way she’s playing hers. Tickets are still available at the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame box office.
