Carrie Underwood feels her best gift this Christmas was getting engaged.

As reported last week, hockey pro Mike Fisher proposed to the former American Idol winner and the two are now planning to wed (presumably in 2010).

An excited Carrie said: “I think you all know what Santa left under the tree for me this year – a fiance! Woo hoo!”

“I ate so much on Christmas Eve that I thought I might actually get sick! But it was so good!” Underwood added.
